The 22nd annual Festival of Fine Craft offers two days of an art and shopping experience for the entire family with 125+ juried artists & craftspeople displaying and selling their works, special artist demonstrations, hands-on family fine art activities, a Beer & Wine Garden*, Glass Pumpkin Fundraiser, live music, and more!
For the wellness and prophylactic of our artists, staff, and audiences, and based on the recommendations of the CDC, masks must be worn indoors regardless of vaccination status. Masks will also be required outdoors when social distancing is not possible. Follow our Facebook page for engaging updates & highlights on our Festival plans. 125 veteran & emerging artists brandish their unique creations in a beautiful breathtaking setting. From inspired paintings, decorative ceramics, and novel jewelry, to innovative wood sculptures and vibrant wearables, the Festival offers something exciting for anybody!
WheatonArts Glass Pumpkin Fundraiser*
Browse express-edition handcrafted glass pumpkins of all shapes, sizes, and colors! Pick & buy your favorites outside the Pottery Studio in a special pumpkin patch. *Please Notation: due to limited production fourth dimension during COVID restrictions, pumpkin quantities are limited. All proceeds from this fundraiser get to supporting arts educational programming at WheatonArts!
Beer & Wine Garden*
Take a seat and relax in the Beer & Vino Garden, featuring Cape May Brewery &Bellview Winery.

Enjoy live musical entertainment by Southward Jersey's PackageGoods Orchestraband, both days of the Festival from noon to iv p.m.
Collaborate + Create: Art-Making Experiences
Join u.s. during the Festival for a series of gratis hands-on experiences for all ages.
Newspaper Bowl Scarecrow Face
Scarecrows are iconic symbols of the fall season. Create a playful scarecrow face using simple materials, including a newspaper bowl, buttons, and structure paper.
Tissue Paper Stained Glass Apple
Create the illusion of stained glass using a colorful assortment of tissue and structure newspaper. Utilize our template to create an apple-shaped frame to fill with small pieces of tissue paper and hang information technology in a window once y'all become home.
Beaded Fall Corn
Mini beaded fall corn is fun to create and is a festive craft the whole family can do. These adorable beaded corns can be turned into fall garland or given equally gifts to family and friends at the Thanksgiving table.
Scarecrow Construction
Our scarecrow construction tent is a fall family tradition! Protect your fall crops or decorate your habitation with a handmade scarecrow. Choose an outfit from an array of shirts and pants, or bring an outfit to stuff with straw.

Community Arts Project:
Maya Sawdust Carpet

Did you know sawdust has been a traditional art medium for over 500 years? Participate in creating a Guatemalan sawdust carpet during this ii-day community arts projection led past the Master Guatemalan artist Ubaldo Sánchez. The action takes identify exterior the Folklife Center's building. The piece volition be themed around stories and images associated with the Mayan cobweb arts, images of Ixchel (Goddess of the moon, fertility, medicine, and patron of weavers), and Guatemalan Maya people dressed in traditional regional garments.

Guatemalan Weaving

Detect the materials, techniques, and aesthetics of today'south Guatemalan cloth arts start hand! Engage with Guatemalan master weavers Armando Sosa and Angélica López as they provide hands-on demonstrations with different weaving techniques employed by Guatemalan artists for centuries. Angélica López volition use a backstrap loom for her demonstration. Armando Sosa will use tabletop looms (a smaller version of the treadle loom) for his demo and visitors willing to try the technique. Located outside the Downwards Jersey Folklife Center.
